Charlotte Littlehales (songwriting, vocals, acoustic and electric guitar) has never considered herself a performer, but it seems she must perform regardless. At twenty four, she’s been writing and performing her own music for nine years, a practice she picked up as a sophomore in high school. It began with the first few chords she learned on guitar and has yet to end, though it certainly changes, traveling through rock, folk, jazz, and country.
After spending four years earning her bachelors degree in jazz performance at Philadelphia’s UArts, Charlotte is currently dedicating herself to writing and recording her first album, which will be a touch of all of her musical influences. She is living and performing in Philadelphia with her talented friends, and will be returning to school this fall to earn her Masters degree in Music Therapy. She also plays in An American Chinese, Scott Churchman, and Second Floor Stories.
Phil Pardell (drums, percussion) grew up in San Diego, CA and began playing drums while attending CCPAA (Children’s Creative Performing Arts Academy). In 2003, after attending CalState Long Beach for a year, Phil was accepted into UArts’ music school. While earning his bachelors degree he played in several bands/ projects, including the Baboon, Bird and the Buffalo, Minas, and Farmer’s Tan. In addition to playing with Charlotte, he plays with Wes Mattheu and the New Way Down, Scott Churchman, Lux Perpetua and Second Floor Stories.
Jesse Hale Moore (guitar, vox, accordian, melodica) hails from Newport, Rhode Island, where he grew up playing folk and blues music with his family. He moved to Philadelphia in 2005 after being accepted into Temple University’s film program, and in the last four years has lived all over the city. Growing up, he primarily played piano; Jesse now plays any instrument he can get his hands on, including guitar, slide guitar, accordian, and melodica. In addition to playing with Charlotte he also writes and performs his own music as Jesse Hale Moore, and plays with Philadelphia musician Audrey Smith in Hunter Gatherer.
Scott Churchman (bass, vox) grew up on the Jersey shore in Manasquan, New Jersey. He began playing bass in high school with his school band, and various bands with friends. In 2003 he moved to Philadelphia to attend UArts’ music school, where he met Phil and eventually Charlotte. He played in the Baboon and Bird and the Buffalo with Phil; throughout college and currently he played/plays with the Kruno Spisic Trio; he also plays with Ape School and Folklore. Scott also writes and plays his own music, and indepentantly released his self-titled debut album in 2008. He currently plays in Philadelphia with his friends.
